Stunning, Vivid & Astounding Digital Paintings

I love art in all its forms, no matter what choice of medium an artist goes with. As an admirer of photography and art, I find digital paintings to be incredibly beautiful and hold their own aesthetic and artistic style.

As I was spending my night on my PC, I came across the following stunning and vivid digital artworks. So realistically and beautifully created, they had to have their post here.

enjoy.

Most Touching Gravestone

Losing a loved one is a big ordeal that often leaves people scarred for life.

It is often said that lovers are connected via some sort of spiritual thread that pulls them together for eternity. It is not unusual to sometimes see people fall ill and probably pass away as a result of the emotional and spiritual trauma left by losing their loves one. People often try to keep their deceased lovers' memory alive in their everyday life in various ways such as keeping photos, personal belongings, ..etc. They also express and cherish their undying love in various ways.

Below is one of the most beautiful and touching sculptures I have ever seen that is a gravestone commissioned by a widow to express her eternal and unbound love for her deceased husband.

The sculpture, titled "Asleep", was created by Australian artist Peter Schipperheyn in 1987 and is at Mt Macedon Cemetery, Mt Macedon. Victoria, Australia.

"This sculpure came about as a result of knowing a remarkable individual who in many ways changed my life", read more about the sculpture on the artist's website here.

National Geographic Photography

I came across the below photos on the National Geographic website which is one of my favorites.

"The arctic fox (Alopex lagopus) is well suited for frigid weather, from its short muzzle and ears to its furry soled paws and thick, bushy tail. This photograph illustrates the camouflage effect of the winter-white fur in the snow. The stance shows the fox is poised to dart away, yet his curiosity holds him in frame just long enough to capture those vibrant, piercing eyes staring warily into the camera lens." source here

"This puffin was collecting twigs for his nest. Taken in Skomer Island in Wales. Skomer is a marine nature reserve and is home to puffins at the start of spring till late summer." source here

"Grizzly cubs are unpredictable. At one moment they look at you with their intrigued eyes, and suddenly run away scared by unknown behavior. These two seven-month-old cubs thought that holding hands would make the danger disappear." source here

"As sure as moonrise over Possession Island, king penguins gather each year for "ecstatic display." Puffing their chests, lifting their heads, and belting out calls, birds of both sexes advertise themselves. Before long, pairs form and join a crowd, and breeding season is on." source here

LOVE

The Japanese language has a beautiful, soothing and elegant sound. Listening to beautiful Japanese poems being read has a beautiful flow and nice melodies that are a treat to the ear.

Written Japanese language is also equally fascinating. Written Japanese is expressed in three sets of characters (
Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji)
Kanji is those sets of very complex yet amazingly beautiful characters that originated in China. Elegant and beautiful strokes are used to create the most beautiful symbols that are not only soothing for the eyes to look at but are in fact art works in themselves.

Below are three illustrations of the Japanese Kanji symbol for the word "Love". The more I look at it, the more appreciation I have for its beauty.

lovely looking, isn't ?
