Greatest Theme Park in the World (an entire City) !!

Japan is a country that I am very fascinated about and never seizes to amaze me.

Here is the coolest theme park in the world, which opened in 1992 at Sasebo city in Nagasaki Prefecture: an entire city constructed in tribute to the Netherlands by the name of Huis Ten Bosch.

It features a lot of true size replicas of Dutch buildings, hotels, shops, theaters, restaurants, ..etc as well as water canals, windmills and even parks planted with seasonal flowers.

The park is named after Huis Ten Bosch Palace which is a Dutch royal family residence.

It is certainly one of the top places one must see.

A Super Cool Miniature City

In the city of The Hague, Netherlands, there exists a great tourist attraction that is quite popular amongst the tourists: A minautre city by the name of Madurodam that was built in 1952.

Madurodam is a model of a typical Dutch town containing Dutch buildings as well as landmarks, all on a 1:25 scale. It certainly looks like a great place to visit.

Official website for Madurodam here

pretty cool, eh?

Woman Takes a Driver License Test 950 Times !!

Here is quite an interesting story from The Korea Times.

A 68-year-old South Korean woman by the name of Cha Sa-soon has celebrated her passing of the driver license written test on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 on her 950th attempt!!!!

Cha Sa-soon needed a driver license to sell vegetables on the move. She took the driver license written test repeatedly every day, except weekend and holidays, since April 13th, 2005, but was unable to obtain the passing score of 60 points.

Finally, on her 950th attempt, she was able to pass the written test, after spending more than $ 4,200 on application fees, not counting bus fares.

Cha Sa-soon is now looking forward to taking the practical driving test.

See Cha Sa-soon holding her passing certificate here.
